So part of my blogger resolutions list was to get a Friday series going. I thought about it over and over what I could possibly want to make it about– things I wanted? Stuff about Marley? Nothing seemed “right” with CLA, which is still mainly a craft/ DIY/ Cooking blog. So after much thought, I figured I’d do it all.

COOK — something I found that looked yummy that I plan on re-creating.

MAKE — something I want to make.

WANT — something I don’t “need” but want.

NEED — something that I NEED.

WOOF — something for Marley or Ziggy.

COOK/ I’m always adding random things to homemade mac and cheese (like bacon and peppers) so this Philly Cheesesteak recipe looks like it’ll hit the spot. I might make this Monday for friends dinner night.

MAKE/ I’ve been collecting corks since I started drinking wine. I’ve got quite the collection right now and have been looking for a fun creative way to use them. I like this simple craft.

WANT/ Marley’s such a wimp when it comes to noises and the metal basket that I bought for her toys ends up causing her to bark more than it keeps my house clean. So I’m thinking a cloth basket like this one would do the trick. The pattern is awesome too.

NEED/ When I found this awesome tutorial for this gigantic calendar last year I was completely smitten (ps, if you don’t follow Yellow Brick Home you should start, it’s the first blog I look for in my reader). I wanted it. But it made no sense to make it halfway though 2013. So I’ve been (I’m)patiently waiting for 2014 to hit so I could build the frame and get this up in my home. Definitely on my short list of projects. However to get this project done I’m going to need new drill bits. Mine have kinda seen better days.

WOOF/ Marley’s really attracted some attention with her unique coloring. She looks like a wild dog, a hyena, a tiger and someone that’s been rolling around in the mud all day all wrapped into one coat. And because of the color often gets mistaken for a boy. I’m not huge on pink, in fact I made a statement that my dog would not wear pink, but I’m possibly willing to take it back if people recognize her as a girl quicker. So, if I’m going to go pink, it’s going to be modern and I’ve spent way too many hours looking for the right pink collar and I think I found it with this one. Girly, but not overly in your face feathery, pink, sparkles, fluff crap.

So there you have it. My first Friday series. I like it. It was easy to come up with because I find this stuff all throughout the week and just have to go back to re-tag something I’ve already pinned.

Regardless— it’s FRIDAY BITCHES. Which means it’s officially time to…
